Wood Colony Lavender Farm

Welcome to Wood Colony Lavender Farm – A Hidden Gem in Modesto, CA

Nestled on the peaceful west side of Modesto, Wood Colony Lavender Farm began as a dream on a little piece of land we purchased in 2023. Once home to grazing sheep, the land sat quietly until we envisioned something beautiful blooming out front—lavender! Surrounded by a walnut orchard in the back and rich farmland all around, we planted 700 lavender plants to bring color, calm, and a touch of magic to the community.

Lavender felt like the perfect fit—its vibrant purple hue and soothing scent instantly lift the spirit. As parents of twin toddlers, we saw this as more than just a farm. It’s a place to teach our children where beauty comes from—how patience, hard work, and love for the earth return something truly special.

Wood Colony is rich with agricultural history. Just down our street stands California’s oldest and largest walnut tree, and each spring, people flock here to see the breathtaking almond blossoms. With local favorites like Kelley Flower Farm and the Wood Colony Farm Stand nearby, our area is a true destination for nature lovers. Adding lavender to the mix? It just makes everything a little more magical.

We grow all our lavender without chemicals or pesticides, and every weed is pulled by hand. It’s not the easiest path, but it’s the purest—and that’s what we’re all about. Our lavender reaches peak bloom in late May through June, offering the perfect setting for family photos, romantic shoots, or just a peaceful stroll surrounded by nature’s calm.
